youth succeed here.
Alaska Crossings is an intensive behavioral health program that promotes wellness, recovery and resiliency in youth across the state
A program of the SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC), Alaska Crossings helps youth regain their mental health. The program uses the Alaskan backcountry as a tool to teach a variety of social and emotional skills for coping with life’s challenges.
"My son’s been in 5 different treatment centers, and he did better at Alaska Crossings than he did 2 years in a treatment center. I think this is what kids really need: not to be locked up. [Instead they] get a chance to clear their minds and have supportive people help make decisions in their teenage lives.”
